The Art Center offers our weekly Art After School program through out the school year.

Each class meets on Wednesday afternoons.

Open to students ages 6 - 14.

Cost: $15 Members/$20 Non-members.

2 or more classes: $10 Members/$15 Non-members.

Pre-registration is required.

Payment is due at the time of registration.

Telephone registrations require credit card payment. Spaces can not be held. No refunds will be given for cancellations within one week of class start date.  **In the event there is a snow day for the Auburn Enlarged City School District, Art After School will be canceled.

Illustration

Wednesdays, February 10 – March 17, 3:45-5pm

Teacher:  Erin Sherman

Students will learn the basics of creating an illustration-- a picture that tells a story.
They will explore the importance of brainstorming while having fun with a variety of concepts including illustrating an existing children's story, how things work, a product package and  their own ideas.

Paper Sculptures

Wednesdays, March 31 - May 5, 3:45-5pm

In this class students will explore about how different cultures use paper to create sculptural objects. Kids will learn the art of folding paper from places like Germany, Poland, China, and America to create 3D sculptures & animals.

Portraits & Self Portraits

Wednesdays, May 3 - June 16, 3:45-5pm

Teacher:  Christine Alexander

This class will explore the many different ways to create a human face. Students will learn how for centuries  artists have interpreted the face as they explore different media to create fantastic portraits of their classmates as well as amazing self portraits.
