Drawing Portraits

In this six week series, students will work from live models and their own reference to practice proportion, line quality, light and shade. The series will address the basic structure of the human head and how to capture the likeness and the spirit of the sitter. A variety of charcoal drawing materials and techniques will be discussed and demonstrated.

Designed for those students looking to build on their basic drawing skills as it relates to portraiture.  A terrific class for high school students interested in building their portfolios, and excellent for more advanced students as well looking to strengthen skills and technique.
