Exploring Watercolor Techniques through Landscapes, Collage & Cards

Students will try out new techniques and apply them in different ways in small scale studies. Work from life and from photos. Students will have the opportunity to use their personal photos and meaningful objects.

The small scale will make it easier for beginners to try new things without fear of failure and for more advanced students to take bigger risks. Learn about brushwork, value, color, composition while learning how to handle watercolor. Students will also use collage to turn our not so successful paintings into wonderful new compositions. Students will learn how to create interesting greeting cards or small scale art out of their studies.
