She is the author of Dyes & Paints: A Hands-on Guide to Coloring Fabric and was nominated for teacher of the year award for 2005 by Professional Quilter magazine. She resides in New Bedford, MA.

Cynthia Schira is a visual artist and weaver who has been exhibiting internationally for over 40 years.
