Quilts=Art=Quilts 2011 is the Schweinfurth Art Center's 31st annual juried quilt exhibition. The exhibition included 82 quilts by 74 artists. Jurors were Terry Jarrard-Dimond, Elin Noble, and Cynthia Schira. |

Quietude: Paintings and Drawings by Chris Baker and Harry Bliss
This exhibition featured two artists from the Finger Lakes region that share long standing and prolific artistic careers. Both painters depict tranquil scenes best described as “quietude.” Derived from the title of Harry Bliss’ painting “Quietude,” – this state of stillness or calm is reflected in outdoor landscapes, interiors, and contemplative portraits. |

Annual juried exhibition featuring 77 contemporary works of art by 52 New York State artists. Artists in this year's exhibition were selected from 684 submissions by 356 artists. The selected artists come from cities and towns all over NYS from Brooklyn to Buffalo. This eclectic exhibition showcases photography, painting, sculpture, book arts and much more. |

Nancy Crow: Recent and New Work
The quilts of world renowned artist Nancy Crow were featured in a solo exhibition of her work at the Schweinfurth Art Center May 29 - Aug 15, 2010. Nancy Crow has been the most significant quilt artist in the country for the past 30 years and she has been a leader in promoting and establishing quilting as a medium on par with other fine arts. |

Annual juried exhibition featuring 73 contemporary works of art by 58 New York State artists. Artists in this year's exhibition were selected from 544 submissions by 282 artists. The selected artists come from 34 cities and towns all over NYS from Albany to Fredonia. This eclectic exhibition showcases photography, painting, sculpture, book arts and much more. |

Readings and Artist Made Books
Readings was a small group exhibition featuring sculpture, paintings and photographs of books by Adam Bateman, Stanford Kay and Buzz Spector. These three artists explore the book, each in their own way: as subject, object and material. They focus on content and their relationship to it as an object. Artist Made Books featured the work of eight regional book artists. Their work explores traditional printmaking processes, altered books and digital techniques.Roadside featured photographs by Auburn artist Susan Brooks Talbot.

Quilts=Art=Quilts 2008
This year’s exhibition featured 87 quilts by 68 artists, showcasing some of the finest examples of contemporary quilting from around the country. The 2008 jurors, Cynthia Corbin, Bruce Hoffman and Denys Schmidt, chose from over 360 entries by over 215 quilters and selected quilts for their overall visual impact, design and originality.

Highways & Byways: American Road Culture
This exhibit included 74 works of contemporary art by 18 artists from around the country. Their work is inspired by, related to, or depicts American highways & byways and includes an array of media from graphic paintings to retro photographs.

The Art Center’s spring exhibition, Mixed Paint, featured 12 contemporary artists from New York State including Mary Begley, Buffalo, Stephen Carlson, Syracuse, Rachel Harms, Skaneateles, Melissa Johnson, Marcellus, Nick Lamia, Brooklyn, David Mann, New York City, Christopher McEvoy, Brooklyn, Iona Park, Saratoga Springs, NY, David Schirm, Buffalo, Robert Sherrill, Cortland, Ludwig Stein, Syracuse, Kathleen Thum, Saratoga Springs. This exhibit showcases painters working in various nonrepresentational styles. |

Revelation: Lane Twitchell, Drawing & Painting
September 1 - October 27, 2007 Lane Twitchell is an artist working in Brooklyn who creates large-scale, vividly-colored paintings from intricately folded and cut paper. The artist's elaborate, repetitive designs reference religion, landscape, suburbia and modern art. The exhibition will include 15 works. An an illustrated catalog featuring an essay by the curator, Thomas Piché Jr., will accompany the exhibition.

Frank A. Barney: A Man Of His Time
Frank A. Barney: A Man Of His Time, May 5 - June 23, 2007. A prolific artist who resided in Auburn, NY for over 70 years. Barney is most well know for his paintings of the Finger Lakes region, though he was well traveled and he was associated with some of the important artists and art movements of his time including the American Barbizon and the American Impressionist painters.
