Mixed Paint
March 8 – April 19, 2008 The Art Center’s spring exhibition, Mixed Paint, will feature 12 contemporary artists from New York State including Mary Begley, Buffalo, Stephen Carlson, Syracuse, Rachel Harms, Skaneateles, Melissa Johnson, Marcellus, Nick Lamia, Brooklyn, David Mann, New York City, Christopher McEvoy, Brooklyn, Iona Park, Saratoga Springs, NY, David Schirm, Buffalo, Robert Sherrill, Cortland, Ludwig Stein, Syracuse, Kathleen Thum, Saratoga Springs. This exhibit showcases painters working in various nonrepresentational styles. |

Revelation: Lane Twitchell, Drawing & Painting
September 1 - October 27, 2007 Lane Twitchell is an artist working in Brooklyn who creates large-scale, vividly-colored paintings from intricately folded and cut paper. The artist's elaborate, repetitive designs reference religion, landscape, suburbia and modern art. The exhibition will include 15 works. An an illustrated catalog featuring an essay by the curator, Thomas Piché Jr., will accompany the exhibition.

Frank A. Barney: A Man Of His Time
Frank A. Barney: A Man Of His Time, May 5 - June 23, 2007. A prolific artist who resided in Auburn, NY for over 70 years. Barney is most well know for his paintings of the Finger Lakes region, though he was well traveled and he was associated with some of the important artists and art movements of his time including the American Barbizon and the American Impressionist painters.
