The Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, NY is seeking submissions for Collage & Assemblage, a group exhibition that will be on view August 29 – October 17, 2009.  Two-dimensional and three-dimensional work will be considered.  All submissions must be of original design and personal execution.  All work must be received installation ready with appropriate hanging device and/or installation instructions, and must be clearly labeled with artist’s name and title of the work.  Artists are responsible for all shipping costs including insurance. Work must be shipped in a substantial, reusable container. 

Proposals will be considered until May 15, 2009.

The prospectus for the 29th annual juried quilt show, Quilts=Art=Quilts, is now available and entries are due August 21, 2009.

The Art Center has long recognized the importance of quilts as a visual medium, and has been presenting quilts in an art gallery setting since 1981. Quilts=Art=Quilts showcases 85 - 100 quilts every year from all over the United States and Canada.

Cost: $25 for up to 2 quilts for Art Center members and $30 for non-members.
