Highways & Byways: American Road Culture

The Art Center seeks artwork inspired by, related to, or depicting American road culture, its traditions and material cultureincluding everything from cars, trucks and motorcycles to roadside architecture; from the family road trip to the Harley road rally, from serial signage to neon, from the greasy spoon to a tailgate party.  For this exhibition two and three dimensional artwork will be considered, including but not limited to, painting, drawing, found objects and objects made from recycled materials, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, media art and installations. (Note: All equipment must be provided by the artists for multi-media installations.)

Quilts=Art=Quilts 2008

The prospectus for the Art Center's 28th juried quilt exhibit, Quilts=Art=Quilts, is now available. The 2008 Jurors will be Cynthia Corbin of Woodinville, WA, Bruce Hoffman of Philadelphia, PA and Denyse Schmidt of Bridgeport, CT. Eugenia Barnes will continue as the Executive Consultant. Entry Deadline: August 22, 2008
