Classes
All Media, All Ages
The Schweinfurth Art Center offers classes and workshops in a variety of media.
We break down the classes into several categories:
- Youth Classes, for students ages 6 to 15
- Adult classes, for ages 16 and up
- Studio Schweinfurth Workshops, full- or multi-day intensive workshops for adults
- Intensive online workshops in fiber arts
- Open Studio for artists to utilize our Clay, Sewing, and Dye studios
The Schweinfurth also offers a two-week intensive art quilting conference called Quilting by the Lake every summer, with classes taught by nationally and internationally known artists. See that section of our website for more information.

Adult Classes
All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 10 days prior to the beginning of the class to receive a refund. A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. Cancellations received 10 days or less prior to the beginning of the class are not eligible for a refund.
Studio Schweinfurth Workshops
All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the workshop to receive a refund. A cancellation fee of $175 will be charged. If the total cost of your workshop is less than $175, the cancelation fee is approximately 43% of the non-member rate. Cancellations received 30 days or less prior to the beginning of the workshop are not eligible for a refund.
Youth Classes
All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 10 days prior to the beginning of the class to receive a refund. A cancellation fee of $25 will be charged. Cancellations received 10 days or less prior to the beginning of the class are not eligible for a refund.
Transfers & Credits
You may designate someone to take your place if you cannot attend. The Art Center is not responsible for finding a replacement.
You may receive a credit for another class or classes, but it must be used before the end of the calendar year and cannot be rolled over.
Art Center Cancellations
If the Art Center cancels a class due low enrollment or circumstances outside our control, students will receive a full refund.
