This five-week series is ideal for anyone who loves drawing, painting, and the freedom to explore new techniques. Throughout the course you will learn about renowned historical and contemporary printmakers and how their approaches to printmaking can inspire and inform your current art practice. Through printmaking you will have the opportunity to create multiple similar if not the same prints. We will be working with linoleum blocks, drypoint plates, stamping, collage and watercolor through printmaking. As we dive into monoprinting, you will be introduced to techniques like chine collé and à la poupée that will enhance your work to become its own unique work of art. Feel free to bring current work you wish to incorporate during the class. Open to all levels of printmaking experience.
